200ft VIS has been in business for over 10 years. The founders, Charles "Scooter" Sellers and Shirley Sellers have a long and noteworthy careers in the world of scuba. Intitially the company focused on highly effective liquid solutions in the areas of mask defog, equipment wash and deoderizer.

Recently the need for a lightweight yet strong and capable Bouyancy Compensator became clear. Drawing upon years of experience in the technical and cave diving areas, the decision to go with a backplate and harness construction was reached. However many design features over the standard backplate and harness were needed. The custom features enabled streamlining and greater efficiency and lighter weight targeted toward single tank diving.
